Double the commitment, double the pride for Pine Court customers

October 9, 2025

We’ve earned not one, but two major LGBTQ+ Accreditations!

At Pine Court, diversity and inclusion are at the core of our foundation. We demonstrate our deep commitment to creating a community where every customer and colleague feels respected, empowered, and safe to thrive.

In line with this commitment, our dedication to the LGBTQ+ community has been recognised with not one, but two prestigious accreditations: the Navajo Charter Mark and the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge – Pioneer Status.

The Navajo Charter Mark

The Navajo Merseyside & Cheshire LGBTQIA+ Charter Mark is an equality mark that signifies good practice, commitment, and knowledge of the specific needs and barriers facing LGBTQIA+ people.

Earlier this year, Navajo conducted a reassessment and we are thrilled to announce that we have successfully retained our Navajo Charter Mark. This is a clear reflection of our commitment to an inclusive culture and the strength of our core values here at Pine Court and across The Sovini Group.

The Navajo assessors were impressed, noting that it was one of the “easiest assessments” they had conducted because colleagues spoke “from the heart,” demonstrating that this is not just a tick-box exercise.

Achieving LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge Pioneer Status

We are incredibly proud to have secured not only the Navajo Charter Mark this year but also to have been awarded Pioneer Status by the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge. This extraordinary achievement further demonstrates our commitment to creating inclusive, welcoming communities where all our customers feel respected and valued.

Securing Pioneer Status showcases how we have:

  • Created a framework for LGBTQ+ customers to have a voice at the highest level of the organisation.
  • Worked to improve relationships with customers and increase LGBTQ+ visibility within our communities.
  • Provided specific colleague training to ensure sensitive and informed customer service.

The assessors praised our efforts, noting “The EDI Resident Group is clearly playing an active role in shaping services, and it’s clear there are structures in place for LGBTQ+ voices to feed into strategic decision-making.  The Group supports LGBTQ+ charities, attends/hosts events like Pride and partners with organisations like Sahir House, demonstrating genuine commitment and strong organisational buy-in.” “

This is an amazing achievement for the entire team, and we remain wholeheartedly committed to ensuring our LGBTQ+ colleagues and customers feel safe, secure, and welcome in every corner of our community.
