Our History

We were established in 1986 as a registered social landlord, with a mission to provide quality homes and inclusive housing services for those in need. Take a look at our history and the achievements we’ve made!


  • We officially registered as a Housing Association.

  • We built our first development of 24 new homes.

  • We built our first supported living scheme, Chung Hok House.

  • We opened our new office premises in Liverpool’s China Town.

  • We were awarded the Pearl Award for Business Enterprise in recognition and celebration for our work in the Chinese community.

  • We joined The Sovini Group.

  • We achieved the following accreditations:

    • Workplace Wellbeing Charter
    • Investors in Diversity 
    • ISO 9001, 14001, 27001
    • OHSAS 18001 
    • We achieved Investors in People.
    • We launched our Community Development Fund.
    • We became the first BAME registered provider to receive the TPAS accreditation.
  • We achieved the following accreditations:

    • ISO 27001
    • Customer Service Excellence 

    We recruited our first apprentice.

    • We celebrated our first anniversary. 
    • We were awarded Small Social Landlord of the Year by Housing Excellence.
    • We invested £480k to refurb Chung Hok House.
    • We signed the Migrant Pledge, a three-point to provide fair treatment to migrants.
    • We welcomed a visit from the Chinese Consul General.
    • We were named as a Leading BAME Organisation by 24 Housing at the Diversity in Housing Awards.
    • We built our first apartment block. Phoenix Mewis, which included 18 affordable homes.
    • We were named the Most Inspiring Housing Provider at the Inspire Awards.
    • We built a new £6m affordable rent scheme, Livingstone Park.
