National Hate Crime Awareness Week | October 11th – 18th, 2025

October 10, 2025

National Hate Crime Awareness Week (NHAW) 2025 will run from October 11th to 18th. This week is a vital opportunity to increase awareness and understanding of hate crimes in our communities.

Our commitment

Pine Court reaffirms our commitment to combatting hate crimes. Hate crimes are devastating incidents driven by prejudice against a person’s perceived or actual race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, or transgender identity. These acts of hostility can happen as verbal and physical abuse, threats, vandalism, and other harmful behaviours.

At Pine Court, we have a zero-tolerance policy for hate crime and are dedicated to empowering our customers to address and overcome these issues within our community.

NHAW’s annual campaign promotes H.O.P.E.

The national campaign continues to encourage action through the four pillars of H.O.P.E.:

  • Hate Crime Awareness: Hosting events to broaden public understanding.
  • Operational Responses: Encouraging thoughtful responses to hate crimes within the community.
  • Preventing Hate Crime: Taking proactive measures to prevent incidents where possible.
  • Engaging Communities: Motivating community members to report hate crimes and collaborate towards common goals.

Reporting hate crimes

Immediate action is crucial for those affected by hate crimes. Please do not suffer in silence.

  • Contact Pine Court Housing confidentially at 0151 709 6878.
  • In an emergency—if you feel threatened or in immediate danger—dial 999.

Should you have already initiated contact with law enforcement or a partner agency, you can authorise them to contact us on your behalf.
