Chung Hok House residents get treated to a host of festive surprises!

December 23, 2020

Pine Court Housing Association (PCHA), brought much-needed festive cheer recently to their retirement housing scheme, Chung Hok House, by performing Christmas carols and sharing a selection of gifts with residents.

Performers from Pagoda Arts, who work to improve people’s understanding of Chinese culture by providing a high quality and unique musical experience, entertained residents with Christmas carols in the corridors of Chung Hok House, whilst adhering to strict social distancing guidelines.

In addition to entertainment, residents also received a bespoke PCHA Christmas card, along with a gift bag full of festive treats.

As members of Black Minority Ethnic (BME) National, PCHA is the leading social housing provider for the Chinese community in Merseyside and in addition to this Christmas visit, their bi-lingual staff have been keeping in regular contact with over 25% of customers who are elderly and vulnerable to ensure they are sufficiently supported.

Director of Pine Court Housing Association, David Brown, said:

At Pine Court Housing Association we are committed to creating inclusive and diverse communities, and as part of this we have been working to ensure our most vulnerable customers have the support they need during these difficult times. I would like to thank Pagoda Arts for helping us to reduce social isolation and bringing some much-needed holiday cheer to residents who need it most.
