Our strategic plan for a better future

Our strategic plan for 2025-2030 outlines our vision for the next five years, building on our mission to create opportunities and change lives.

Our focus remains on delivering excellent customer service, providing safe, sustainable homes, and supporting diverse communities from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds. We’re investing in our dedicated multilingual team and IT systems to ensure your voice is heard and we continue to improve our service offer.

Our priorities

We’ve identified three key areas to focus on:

 

We’ll prioritise excellent customer service, providing safe and secure, energy-efficient homes in sustainable neighbourhoods. Our focus remains on providing specialist housing services for Chinese and Southeast Asian communities, ensuring tailored support.

 

We’ll embrace the revised Consumer Standards, using insights from regulatory inspections to drive continuous improvement. We’ll enhance Board-customer communications and build detailed household/property profiles to address vulnerabilities, all supported by Tenant Satisfaction Measurement data.

 

We’ll pursue growth opportunities, expanding our property portfolio despite economic challenges and new legislative impacts. We’ll leverage the new rent settlement and Affordable Homes Programme for development, always mindful of affordability for our customers.

 

Our goals

Our strategic plan has four main aims:

 

Provide specialist housing services:

We’ll be investing in the development of our skilled, multilingual team and advanced IT infrastructure, including a new integrated housing management system.

 

Strong performance and financial viability:

We will ensure excellent rent collection and efficient property lettings. We will support customers facing hardship with financial advice and funds. We will also maintain top quality standards and ensure value for money through effective performance monitoring.

 

Continued development and growth:

We will make informed and intelligent investment decisions, guided by a comprehensive sustainability index and Asset Management Strategy. We will expand our housing offer, where viable, to include shared ownership and rent-to-buy, ensuring long-term viability and meeting market needs

 

Partnership opportunities:

We will improve and seek new partnerships to enhance community services. We will also play a leading role in delivering cultural events and strategic initiatives addressing homelessness and promoting equality.
