Pine Court Housing Association is governed by a Board consisting of seven (six independents and one executive) members.

The Board members act as part of the Board of Directors; defining the strategic direction of the organisation. Through good governance and performance management arrangements, they will ensure the efficient running of the business of Pine Court Housing Association.

Steve Gow (Chair)

  • Extensive experience of working in Senior Management roles in local authorities and the housing sector
  • Now retired, Steve was previously Area Relationship Director for Knowsley Borough Council addressing issues around education, environment and social inclusion
  • Previously a board member for Age Concern UK
  • Has experience within the voluntary sector and as a governor in primary and secondary schools
  • Steve is the recently elected Secretary of the Liverpool Schools Football Association
  • He is also a volunteer Tudor guide for the National Trust at Speke Hall

Moira Woo

  • Tenant of Plus Dane, with understanding of housing issues and the impact of Welfare Reform
  • Passionate about supporting residents, having chaired a local Residents Association
  • Worked with Pine Court residents to solve issues in a Residents Association role

Julia Emelogu

  • Julia is currently the Managing Director of Maximum Impact Solutions Ltd, a Management and Information Company specialising in using Business Intelligence to improve organisational performance.
  • Since 2001 Julia has lead her company in assisting a number of organisations, including the NHS, in developing intelligence solutions to provide insight in to areas for service improvement.
  • Julia has a number of qualifications with a BSc degree and Ph.D in Clinical Sciences.
  • Julia has a passion for Community projects and is a volunteer for the Princes Trust as well as being a Board Member of Elevate Education Business Partnership, supporting and advising local, regional and national partners in the field of education business links, employability and skills agendas.

Gill Ditchburn

  • Gill is a Chief Executive Officer of a registered not for profit company (Elevate), a leading Education Business Partnership which has grown from a community organisation to a successful Liverpool City Region not for profit company under her leadership
  • With over 10 years’ leadership experience, she has a proven track record to lead and deliver projects, manage organisational and cultural change, build productive partnerships across the region and has a clear understanding of the socio-economic environment in which PCHA operates
  • Gill is highly skilled in Strategic Leadership, Service Planning, Partnership Development, Organisational, Project Management and People Management

Jim Currie

  • Since 2012 Jim has been Head of Operations for Electrium Sales Ltd, a Siemens Company
  • Jim has 25 years of experience in senior management roles within the UK electrical industry including Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain Management, Quality, EHS & Facilities Management
  • Together with the UK Operations role Jim has responsibility for the sourcing of material & components from China, India & Vietnam and management responsibility for a recently acquired business with manufacturing in South Africa & Lesotho
  • Jim is a Board Member of BEAMA – UK Trade Association for Electrical Manufacturing 2012 to 2018
  • Jim is also a non-executive Board Member for Sovini Limited

Dr Roy Williams

  • Roy is a professionally qualified fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing and has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
  • Roy is the Chief Executive of the Sovini Group and One Vision Housing and holds a number of non-executive director positions with external organisations
  • He is currently on the Boards of One Vision Housing and The Sovini Group

The Pine Court Housing Association Board is assisted by a Group Business Assurance Committee, which provides robust scrutiny, audit and risk monitoring of the Board’s activities.  The Committee is led by an independent Chair.

Mike Parkin

  • Mike is the Chair of Group Business Assurance Committee (GBAC)
  • Mike previously worked for North Wales Police where he worked as Director of Finance and Resource. He has worked in various roles in both the public and private sector including Wirral Metropolitan College and North Wales newspapers.
